Eco-Fest Celebrates Women in Music

Photo

“Females on Fire” was the theme for the first annual Los Angeles Women’s Music Festival (LAWMF), held August 25, at Woodley Park, in Encino, CA. BMI’s Anne Cecere participated in the “Music for Film & Television”’ panel, which covered several topics, including how to submit your music, contacting music supervisors, and how to choose a performing right organization.

The earth-friendly festival, presented by Gaia Rocks & Warrior Girl Music, showcased more than 50 bands and performers on five stages and featured pet adoptions, food, drum circles, children's activities and fun for the whole family, with proceeds benefiting local animal-rescue organizations.
