NABOB Honors Patti LaBelle

The National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters (NABOB) recently held its 20th Annual Communications Awards Dinner in Washington, DC where BMI songwriter/artist Patti LaBelle received a Lifetime Achievement Award. The dinner annually honors the most prestigious names in entertainment, communications and public service.

Pictured at the dinner are BMI's Del Bryant, NABOB honoree Patti Labelle and BMI's Michael O'Neill.

NABOB is the first and largest trade organization representing the interests of African-American owners of radio and television stations across the country. The association was organized in 1976 by a small group of African-American broadcasters who desired to establish a voice and a viable presence in the industry and to address specific concerns facing African-American broadcasters.
